Plot
Edge of Tomorrow is set in a future where Earth is invaded by an alien species called Mimics. Major William Cage (Tom Cruise) is an inexperienced military officer forced to fight in a hopeless battle. After being killed in action, Cage wakes up back at the start of the same day. He realizes that he is caught in a time loop, reliving the same events each time he dies.

With the help of Sergeant Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt), a renowned soldier with similar time-looping abilities, Cage hones his combat skills and gathers intel. Together, they uncover a plan to defeat the Mimics by destroying the alien leader, the Omega.
